blogging again.......

After creating an instagram profile in 2012 and becomming a daily user of instagram, my use of blogs, visiting blogs and blogging my self have been decreased dramatically. In some ways I miss blogging, but have not have the right focus. So I will try start blogging again.

Starting with a small trip to Copenhagen. In Store Strandstræde old and new shops, cafes and restaurants, have over the past years been popping up, plus some heavy renovations has made the street blooming again.
Beutiful old buildings have made it possible to create a overall feeling of the streets of Paris. It is a tucked behind the famous Nyhav (New Harbour) and easy to miss. Well a month ago I went there and found the great shop StudioXviaduct (pop up shop - kind off - been there for almost a year now) check their instagram for details in case they move before you go there. (they have now moved to Dronningens Tværgade 50.) Here is what I saw:

tamed nature - a wreath for the outdoor and for christmas

Every year so many wreath are made to welcome your guest at the door steps. Wreath take so many forms, colors and designs. These wreath are made about 7 years ago, still looking good - if made today the styling might have been different and the wreath less symetrik.

a woolen heart for your love

I love Wollfiller and their ideas. My best woolen cardigan has prolonged its life several years because of their ideas.Today Design Sponge feature a series about DIY hearts one of them is how to make woolen hearts for valentine day. Super idea why not take your loved ones beloved old sweater and add a heart any color any shape - just for the love. Old or new sweater will still be full of love. homemade christmas gift

Years ago I made this article about upscaling my kids small plastic animals and other funny thing. Collect a big pile of mini toys that your kids will not miss or will give you an ok to use. Take the selected frame and place all the figures the way you like — take at picture to remember the "pattern". Spray paint all the figures. 

When dried — glue them to the canvas with a glue gun, and you will end up with a modern art peace to give someone, or put on the wall.

.......after summer holiday

Summer holiday turned into busy days at work and at home, different from a relaxing holiday but it was nice to be back and steer the ship again.
I will start out with news from the danish ceramic duo from Stilleben. Yesterday Ditte and Jelena presented their newest product serie in collaboration with Kähler. Four colours and 3 different sizes of beautiful storage bowls with lids.what's not to like.

It is important to get inspired and give yourself time to reflect - I try to do that at least once a day, and some time it works. Yesterday I took my bike on a small trip around my neighborhood. Because of the warm weather - doors was open and this was what I came around. An amazing workplace for decorative painters. Inspiring.

sequins flowers

I haven't found a purpose for these flowers, I might put them on a
gift or set them to rest in the window.
Any way - I used flower sequins, small beads and black thin
metal thread. Happy weekend.

sweep the floors with andrée jardin

At Maison & objects I just had to stop at Andree Jardin - so much nostalgia, almost make you want to sweep the floor rigth there. Love that they dare to put colors on. (shop)

Until now most of Simone work have been displayed outside Denmark - but now it is possible to see and buy her work at Øregaard museum and make and create your own paper art pieces with guidance by Simone Bendix and her twin sister.

blickfang in copenhagen

Blickfang in Copenhagen for the first time - the exhibitions have about 100 different designer that varies from fashion, over jewelry too new product designs you can buy here and now. It is all presented in Øksnehallen in Copenhagen so if you are around, go there and if you have kids - go there and try the design workshop for kids "Designers of tomorrow by MINIMÖBL". Design and greate with your kids and bring your design home.  Hope to show more  - until then take a look here.
