Just love this way to eat your morning egg - and what a cute idea to make a little castle for the egg and a horse for the "soldier" If you already eat your eggs like this or just love the egg cup and horse - you can purchase it here.
A whole lot of years back Sofie (the photographer) and I had the opportunity to style and inspire parents to make playful ice cream decoration for birthdays or friday "candy" for a danish kids magazine. A timeless idea, where you need ice cream of various flavours and one or more of the following ingredients: sprinkles, candy, desiccated coconut with colour, ice cream cones and fruits. White mummies are
a fun project for Halloween or a ”scary” party.
The mummies are
reasonably simple to make.
You will need: *Juice bricks *Adhesive / glue
stick *White masking
tape (gauze, cloth patch on roll, white fabric cut into strips or a discarded
white T-shirt cut *into strips - there are many options) *Plastic eyes (available
at hobby shops) alternative paint the eyes directly on the mummy.
How to: Start by removing
the disposable straws. Wrap the mummy from
the bottom of the juice with tape -the more random, the more real it seems.
Remember not to tape the hole for the straw. When the juice
carton is completely covered, you can glue the eyes on and then mummy ready.
The straw can
alternatively be taped to the side again, or placed next to it.
Mummies that will
make Dracula's thirsty for juice
We have too many apples, even if we give to friends and family. So now we started our own little Apple juice farm. The taste of freshly pressed apples is amazing and is plenty reward for the hard work of collecting, cutting and squeezing.
I don't think I ever get tired of visiting The Selby site, and it was with a smile on my face that I saw this news this morning - a new book from Selby - Edible Selby, for sure a great name. It is all about food, people making food and in the same great mix of pictures, illustrations and interviews. Can't wait to have it in my hands. Happy inspiration for your weekend.
Today my second daughter had to bring a cake to a summer party at the school. Together we made a great layer cake with whipped cream and raspberries and she decorated it beautiful with blueberries and raspberries. Sad that I forgot to take a picture. But here you have one of an other beautiful cake - tjeck out Manger, but be careful you might be hungry afterwards.
Rhubarb crumble cake will be cooking in the oven later - in the meantime I will try to relax in the sun with the family and enjoy the long weekend - three days with sun and blue sky I'll hope. Happy weekend.
Tomorrow it will all about the good company with friend and their kids. We each make a part of the dinner, I will be doing the main course, if it was dessert I would try to make this beautiful cake. Instead I will sprinkle glitter and look forward to a new, interesting and challenging year, with at whole lot of new experiences. Happy new year.
