It's a gorgeous illustration - with those fabulous rich old colours. But it is a stark reminder of how dreadful zoos used to be for the animals, with the tiny cages. How things have changed!

Oh yes indeed - I remember clearly how sad I felt when I saw the sad animals going around i circles.
