Read my mails and saw a video on Daily candy where people were asked what made them happy in their daily life - touching answers. i guess this is what thanksgiving is all about. For me here in Denmark this paper turkey is the closest I get to a thanksgiving meal.
When I found the head and tail at cox & cox I also saw this amazingly wallpaper, that start out as a wallpaper with small insects and numbers - and after joining the dots an amazing pattern begins to emerge.
In Denmark we have a tradition for making christmas calendar for our kids. This one I made for the danish kids magazine "vi forældre" some years ago. with 11 days to the first of december - you still have time make your own. The calendar is made out of mdf board, painted, and applied gold leaf for the moon and stars. Small hooks makes it possible to hang the gifts. (pic:Sofie Helsted)
If you haven't start making your christmas stocking this years Christmas, then consider buying this beautiful and handmade stocking that will last many years ahead. But watch out this shop is full of great stuff you just want to buy.
Should have been to "Crea corner" today, preparing for christmas with a lot of creative girls - but the flue had me tied to bed. If I were there I would have made these christmas garlands for my windows this christmas.
Yesterday I went to The Golden Fur Pin award to see 9 danish designers play and create with fur. For the first time the award had a category in Homewear (thats why I was there). The winner of the Homewear category was the designer Anne Stensgaard - she had designed a lamp made of fox fur. Anne Stensgaard found her inspiration in urchins - beautiful and the feeling of simplicity. (Photo)
